Heterogenous access tools highly prone to vulnerabilities.
The remote access used by service maintenance providers often relies on many heterogeneous tools, such as VPN, which allow direct access to the machines on the network. VPN solutions are prone to vulnerabilities and present several risks such as lack of authentication and control features, no traceability and visibility and no password management. What’s worse, it provides no control over user activity and does not prevent lateral movement, which can be malicious and even critical for the business.
